“ local Oregonian, love American dream pizza. been going here quite literally my entire life. gotta say, had some of the best pizza from here today. the crust has been super hard, dense, and crunchy for the last few years, but today it was spectacular. It was soft and pillowy inside while having a nice crispy outer layer. my fam and I were fighting over the crusts. ”

“ We had their rocket science pizza, which is vegetarian pizza with a lot of arrugula and shaved parmesan cheese. The taste is pretty bland. We had a large pizza and it was more than three of us could eat. This is no fast food restaurant, so be prepared to spend some time waiting for your meal. This place also serves variety of beers, but we didn't order any during this visit. Since the wait time is rather long they offer crayons for the kids who can decorate paper plates and hang their artwork on the wall. ”

“ Great pizza! We ordered a large Edward Abbey which includes pesto, feta, artichoke heart, and sun-dried tomato. The toppings seemed fresh and tasted excellent. It fed 5 people and everyone enjoyed it. The dry, crunchy crust wasn’t my favorite, but dipping it in some sauce made it fine. I’m sure we’ll be back again soon. ”

“ Probably the best pizza restaurant that I know. Great staff, great smells, pizza comes out fast! If you're in Corvallis, you must try American Dream. I also like that they are very consistent with their pies. I go there once in a while, and the pizza is still like it was 10 years ago. Personally, they are best enjoyed taken to an Ocean view room on the coast, with a friend or spouse. I grab one to go and speed west, usually is warm when I get there. However, if the game is on the brain, all you have to do is cross Monroe Street! The downtown location is very close to the Willamette, so grab a pie and sit by the river on a nice day! “ Great pizza, but parking can be a challenge, especially on a game day. The closest lot has loads of "we'll tow your car instantly" type signs, which is understandable but still isn't fun to worry about. Not their fault but something to be mindful of. ”

“ My family have been regular customers of American Dream Pizza for 30 years, primarily at the Campus location. We love the pizza. We love the atmosphere. If I have a complaint it is only that the chocolate chip cookies have routinely been under-done for the last few years. When we take-out, 3-1/2 minutes in the oven at 425 cooks that doughy center nicely. ”

“ I’ve been going to American Dream almost since it opened in 1989 (with some gaps in time when I lived elsewhere). So, I have some experience with this place in terms of in-house (often too noisy for me nowadays) and delivery (always prompt and courteous). Let’s be fair: this is a campus pizza joint that hires, by and large, college students and college-adjacent folks. As a result, there is some churn here in terms of employees. As a result, the quality of their offerings can swing a bit. You got someone smoking the ‘Devil’s Lettuce’ and making your salad? It’s gonna turn out really, really good or really, really odd. Ditto the pizza. But, generally speaking, this place delivers (well, it does deliver as I already mentioned, but I mean it provides a good pizza, calzone, and salad . . . most of the time). When I have return guests from out of town, they always want American Dream. Who am I to argue? I like their pizza and salads. When I have friends over, we often get American Dream. Why fix what ain’t broke? Yes, the yeasty crust divides some people. But they don’t tend to skimp on toppings and their sauce is a clear step above a lot of other local offerings (chain and unchained, because God knows there are too many pizza places in Corvallis). And I find some of the negative reviews, well, sorta’ funny. You are a chef? Oh, wow. Do tell! You leave a ranking that is 1/5, 5/5, and 5/5 and then leave only one star? I guess you don’t understand how to rate places. You leave pictures to document the horrid slice you received and . . . they . . . don’t . . . actually . . . show . . . what . . . you . . . are . . . whining . . . about?!?! You must be a lot of fun at parties. You are mad the person on the phone didn’t want to talk with you about your life goals, so you leave a negative review? Well, I bet you have some really interesting things to share with the world. Too bad a busy employee didn’t want to be your bestie! I recommend this place, in spite of (and, in some ways, because of) the occasional ‘off’ night. It’s local. It isn’t a chain. And it, more often than not, delivers (again, both in terms of bring it to you and providing a good product for a reasonable price). ”
